(Kind of a) noob question about 6505+...

First of all, I'm no guitar player, hence the lack of technical/logical insight into this fact that I'm curious about: Why is 6505+ Combo half the price of the head itself?... I mean, If I'm into reamping and already have some cabinet at my disposal, would I get the same sound If I use the head alone or head from the combo (bypassing the 112 cabinet) and get away with half the investment? I might as well embarrass myself if you explain to me why is this a stupid question...

It's half the wattage and made in China which is why there is a price difference. There is no reason you couldn't do what you are suggesting but it's likely the combo would sound different than the head through the same cabinet.
BTW, in the future you should put questions like this in the "Equipment" section.

The 6505 combo sounds different from the standard 6505 head. The Chinese components change the tone a bit. Its still a great sounding amp though as ling as you run it through a good 4x12
