Blabbermouth said:
KING'S X have inked a new worldwide deal with InsideOut Music. The group's recently completed new studio album is scheduled for release on September 27. The CD was produced by veteran metal producer Michael Wagener (SKID ROW, WARRANT, ACCEPT, HAMMERFALL) and is set to include the following tracks (in no particular order):

01. Bam
02. Where Do You Go
03. Honesty
04. Open My Eyes
05. Mud
06. Sooner or Later
07. Freedom
08. Fly
09. Alison
10. If
11. Be Bop
12. Alone
13. Stay

Two videos will reportedly be filmed before the CD's release, which will coincide with a U.S. tour. A trip overseas is also being planned.

As previously reported, KING'S X frontman Doug Pinnick will release his third solo album, "Emotional Animal", on July 19 via Magna Carta Records. Doug played most of the instruments and vocals on the CD, which features a guest appearance by KING'S X drummer Jerry's son Joy Gaskill (drums) and Kelly Watson (mouth trumpet and vocals on "Freak The Funk Out"). The CD was recorded and mixed at Poundhound Studio by Dug, and mastered by Ty Tabor. "Emotional Animal" will have an interview and bonus demo versions of two of the songs on the CD-ROM portion of the disc.

While Pinnick's previous solo outings were credited to POUNDHOUND, this will be the first to feature solely Pinnick's name (or a slight variation thereof: DUG PINNICK). He described the album to Billboard.com as mostly rock-based but with a few surprises, including the gospel-tinged "Equal Rights", as well as a dance track, "When You Gonna Come".

Discuss. I, for one, think this is great for King's X because I think IOMA will really push 'em. I think it's a mistake for Doug to release Emotional Animal on Magna Carta Records, but I suppose it's all right.
