Anyone here into King's X? Texas Power Trio will have a new Cd out in septmeber. You can listen to a new song "Alone" at www.myspace.com/tytabor !
Hey Ed, love the DVD! Saw you in concert with Spock's Beard in Pratteln (Z7) in 2003. You rocked!

Im into them since about 12 or 13 years. Totally love them, especially their incredible groove and the harmony vocals. They are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Although I like the live-album very much, it doesn't really catch what you experience being there.

Well,I think you all know that they are one of my favorite bands. Inside Out is releasing their next one and Thomas, the owner and also a big fan, let me hear some ruff mixes of some of the new stuff when we were in Germany recently. IT IS DEFINITELY THEIR BEST WORK SINCE DOGMAN!!!!!!!! The production value is once again top notch and the harmonies are way more prominent than other post Dogman albums. To be perfectly honest I had lost hope after Mr. Bulbous despite some highlights, but this album will dissapoint NOONE!! And will reignite the otherwise waning interest of the less than die hard fans.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

Ted,

Thank you for those good news. I must admit I had lost interest in King's after Ear Candy : not that their latter albums were bad, but they were in my opinion far from the quality of their previous jobs.

I wasn't sure if I would by the new one, but your comments give me confidence that I won't be dissapointed.

Paul

After your news, Ted, I'm kinda shaking with anticipation.
I liked everything except Manic Moonlight (Believe is a great song but I didn't really get into the rest), but Dogman style is definitely the RIGHT DIRECTION.

What about touring Europe together?????? :headbang:

You can imagine how cool it is for us that Kings X in now with Inside Out as well. Wolfi thanks for the link, it sounds great, we have heard good things about the U.S as well for a tour guys? that would rock.

I'm really glad to hear that, Ted! I felt the same way when Doug compared the sound of the new release as a cross between Dogman and Gretchen (hope I read that correctly). Yesssss!!

While I've liked their past albums each in its own way, I also was not taken much by the last few titles. I was really let down at first by "Black Like Sunday", but then I learned soon after that most (all?) the songs were dusted off from their past. Some of the tunes were kinda hard to listen to but I developed an appreciation for the album later on and still stick it in the player every now and then.

Personally, I think Tape Head may be one of my top 10 favs of all time. Though it was my featured selection of the month, way back when, Dogman, that started my true love for the band. I've got my fingers crossed that King's X will release a justified live dvd sometime, maybe InsideOut might agree?

"Black Like Sunday" grew on me bigtime. Now I really love most of the songs, especially the killer "Finished". I was not thrilled by the live album, way too many acoustic versions. I have an odd reaction to most post Dogman King's X. Its all pretty good, but just has something missing. I heard the new track and it sounds VERY promising. I'm a bigtime King's X fan going back to 1990 or so. I've seen them a half dozen times at lerast, great live act.

Hey, Ted,

Enchant is one of my favorite bands since I was introduced to them a couple of years ago (I just got the live DVD which is awesome!). One of the first things I thought of when King's X signed with InsideOut is that maybe it could open an opportunity for King's X and Enchant to tour together. I think it would be a perfect pairing! Any chance that could happen? That would be incredible!

You guys need to tour in Texas soon! I need to add Enchant to my gallery of concert photos!

Nothing else hah? I can think of a few things. And not just one gig but a bunch. Hey we are big fans.

It even sounds perfect! :Kings X and Enchant: what a bill that would be! This is the type of pairing that would make it possible to finally tour the US! even Texas and the South Dougorama.

Hey I am down for it! That would be incredible for us.

We need to get this next release written and recorded and out first though. The timing might not be good this year because the Kings X guys are back out promoting the new one in Late Sep I think? and damn thats coming up soon!

It would be a great match though! we would be way into this!

Great post! Hey now you guys need to hit the IO america forum with this BIG TIME!

Hey Ed I suggest a name for this package :
Enchant and King's X : Rock, Sweat and Beers (inspired by Blood, Sweat and Tears) Tour 2005 :D

What do you think ? Honestly I'm proud of that one :headbang:
In the meantime let's bomb the IO Board. Attaaaaaack:devil:

Hey just picked this up tonight actually, it ROCKS~ the title is fitting and quite incredible. The production and tones are really great. Man it has some meat to it! Ted is loving this one :headbang: loving it. Man I hope they come out hear for a few gigs.

These guys get no where near enough recognition in my opnion. Amazing soulful vocals and structure with a driving wall of sound. I am digging this! It has some serious punch!

Hey Wolfi sorry I missed that bottom line before man, thanks man. I remember that one well ,its a damn big place the Z7 but very cool.

That was the gig Ted shoved me onto my bass pedals while walking out to sing and filled the huge hall with the foulest of notes, right from the start

I was pissed off at him big time but now I have to laugh becasue that was actually a really good one. He got me. Ass  and someone had video of it.

Now Playing : Kings X Ogre Tones

I like a lot of it...after about 3 times playing it. I got the new Zero Hour the same day in the mail.

I personally really like a lot of the post-Sam Taylor work. Bulbous esp..and recently MANIC MOONLIGHT has grown on me a lot. BLS I will say probably thus far is the only album that has not.

I need to hear OGRE TONES more, some tracks are working for me, some others may take more time. MANIC MOONLIGHT only now is finally clicking with me fully. I think it's brilliant.

And yeah..if Enchant and King's X toured together it would be very cool..a kickass bill..great pairing. Maybe Dug (now its Dug..he dropped the "o" for Dimebag) could join Enchant on stage for DISPICABLE..1 of the tracks Enchant reminds me of KX the most.

Goin to see King's X tonight here in Lincoln, Ne. :hotjump: Can't wait! :hotjump: Ain't seen these guys in like 6 years now. It's in a small club that only holds a couple hundred people at the most. Should be a great time! Only thing that could make it better would be if it was a King's X/Enchant gig, but i'll take what I can get here in Nebraska.
