Kiss From A Rose (Cover)

Okay. So those that know me & my band Black Magic will know that I'm a hard rock singer & my band is oddly enough, hard rock. But I had the idea to learn this song a couple months back on acoustic, it was harder to get than I first thought. I got it down, kind of. Anyway, 2 months later I decided to record the song. Only when you record a song of such quality do you realise how shit you truly are, lol. So I battled with this mother fucker for 2 weeks straight and this is the best I could do.

Be interested to hear your thoughts on it. All guitars are left untouched, no compression, no eq on the individual tracks. Only on the mix master did I give a bit of shine to the overall mix and pull away some muddyness.

Sounds really great. The only thing I'd retrack is the the first "baby" vocal part in the first chorus. sounds a little odd and off. I love the piano parts after the instrumental bridge. Great job, though
