THIS WEEK ON THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW: This week on THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW, the guys will be in full interview mode as they will get the chance to talk with two of the all-time greats of playing guitar. First off, a new project called Violent Storm has surfaced called STORM WARNING. This is the project of bassist Mick Cervino, the longtime bassist of Yngwie J. Malmsteen's touring band. The project is not just another musician's project - it features great names in Classic Metal like Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Roy Z and KK Downing performing on it. Mick has agreed to call into THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW to talk about STORM WARNING, but has agreed to bring a guest along - the Judas Priest axeman KK Downing. We'll do a New Music Listening Party for STORM WARNING, while Downing and Cervino will call in and chat about the album. I'm sure some discussion about Malmsteen and the new Judas Priest album will also surface.
Next up, another great legend of guitar playing will be checking in all the way from Japan. Marty Friedman, the legendary guitarist of the classic lineup of Megadeth, has since left not only the band, but the country to find fame as a Japanese celebrity. Still, Friedman continues to make music. He will be checking in with Neeley and Chris to talk about his new album, his career in and out of Megadeth, and living in Japan.
Finally, the "Kings Of Metal" Manowar have returned with a new album called GODS OF WAR. It's a massive concept album - one unlike anything they've ever done before. The fans demanded it, and now we'll bring you GODS OF WAR as a New Music Listening Party. We'll see if it lives up to the glorious history of the band!
