Krokodil, a 'new' russian drug

Hey guys,

Just came across this link on facebook that says a new drug was developed in Russia. Supposedly, it corrodes the muscles and skin making the bones appear, then the death of all tissue surrounding it up to the death of the person. Is this true?

yep, it's real, not sure if the bone pic is real, but it's really sick shit there are different kinds and
some of them are made of formic acid, petrol and phosphor from match sticks so it's pretty sick
stuff to eat, sniff or inject.
Some people already die after the first use of krokodil because it's that toxic, almost every ingredient
is really toxic and they combine it to make it even worse.
The fathers of two friends of mine both work at a big rehab here and they said that some of their
clients sniffed or smoked washing powder and stuff, most of the people doing stuff like that are
already fucked up as hell and they mostly know that they will die because of it, but it doesn't
matter to them anymore.

These pics are made to shock more than to show the actual effects of the drug. I´m not saying that it´s a lie, but you can make shock pictures out of most drugs (even non-drugs). I mean, you can find horrendous pics of gangrene caused by cigarettes, but I don´t think it´s fair to describe a smoker as someone with a gruesome necrosis.

The worst thing about these shock pictures is that they create panic and fear, which lead to dumb decisions such as stop selling codein on drug stores. Junkies will be junkies, even if they have to dring battery fluid to get high.

I have heard about this krokodil before, a few months ago. Saw some pictures then, disgusting shiet.

My best friends dad did allot of drugs back in the 80's, and he said that some desperate people freebased a few brands of washing powders because they essentially worked as amphetamine.
I seriously doubt that it was good for them though.

You see, krokodil doesn´t "eat the skin and flesh" of the person. It´s just a homemade crap drug that they inject into their veins. As these junkies usually don´t care about higiene, the veins eventually stop flowing blood to the extremities of the limbs. As they don´t go to the hospital, they let the necrosis spread, which is what you see on the pics. You can fuck your veins with basically ANY crap that you decide to recklessly inject everyday.

My point is that when they show a gangrene and say it´s the effect of krokodil/desomorphine, they are hurting people like me, who needs codein (what they use to make desomorphine) on a daily basis. Shocked people will make pressure for the drug stores stop selling codein or make me go to the doctor every week to get a new prescription of the damn thing, which as a major pain in the ass and pocket. Meanwhile the junkies will discover another cheap method of self-destruction because junkies will be junkies!

It´s like stop selling pop drinks because they can cause diabetes, which can cause gangrene necrosis.

+1 on everything MindMunch said, the Codeine isn't the bad thing, the problem is that some of them
even mix it with petrol and phosphor. And too much of almost everything will kill you
And about the phosphor, phosphor acid for example is so bad for your bones, that if you drink cola
on a regular basis it weakens your bones, there was a boy in the UK who drank 2-3 litres cola per
day, the phosphor acid weakend his bones that much that he broke his hip and a leg while sleeping...
and these guys inject stuff like that and the stuff your car needs to drive...
