SLAYER has just released a brand new video clip in which bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King talk about the band's upcoming fall tour of North America with support from ANTHRAX and DEATH ANGEL. Said Kerry about SLAYER's live performance: "The whole reason I come overseas and play domestically, or wherever it is, is for that ninety minutes onstage. "It's not a drug to me. It's still my job, but I like my job." Added Tom: "Everything that has to do with touring sucks. And the time that we're onstage, it's, like, I forgive everything. I don't forget — I forgive." Kerry also talked about the SLAYER fans, who in 2008 were called by The Guardian "the most dedicated, least rational" in rock. "It's amazing," he said. "We played Milan [Italy] the other day, and Milan's notorious for singing guitar intros along with the intro, and even parts of songs and lyrics and chorus. And the intro tape, 'Delusions Of Saviour', came on and they started singing it. It's the first time I had heard people sing it. I knew they were going to. The riff kicks in, and there's two or three thousand, however many people, there, they're singing along with it, and it's very haunting sounding. It's like an old BLACK SABBATH record where they have the operatic, religious background singers. That's what it sounds like. It would make your hair stand up on arms, 'cause it's such a rush. It's fun. And then you go into the 'Repentless' opening, which is as good as an opener as we've ever had. There's nothing I can compare it to." SLAYER's seven-week North American tour with ANTHRAX and DEATH ANGEL will kick off in Cleveland on September 9 and will hit both major and secondary markets across the continent. SLAYER's latest album, "Repentless", debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 50,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 17, 2015.
