there's a part where they talk abotu how Godel became this living icon and people would gush ecstatically like OMIGOD GODEL IS IN THE CANNED FOODS AISLE!!! when he went to the supermarket, and follow him round in awe.

What iconic academic who then became a legend didn't go mad? Whenever I read my chemistry or physics texts, they always have the sidebar about how every great scientist lost it and then killed himself.

it's a good thing godel was skinny because otherwise you could much more easily disprove his theorems by being like "YEAH, WELL, BUT, GODEL IS FAT."
