Kylesa - Spiral Shadow

I wasn't familiar with this band at all before I stumbled upon this album on Spotify today. Holy shit. I haven't heard anything this fresh in a long time! I love the raw vibe on the album. The production fits the songs absolutely perfectly. Not too dirty or cheap sounding, but still has that raw, primal power. Fuck yes! Any other bands like this I should be aware of?

Haven't checked it out yet, but from what I've read it's quite different from their previous works.

Kylesa rule. Live the twin drummer thing just kills. I haven't heard the new record yet but "Static Tensions" is brilliant.

Worth checking out their local buds from Savannah Baroness if you haven't already. Kylesa are made up of ex-members of a band called Damad that are also worth a listen. As well as other bands in that general genre like His Hero Is Gone and Tragedy.
