Just out of curiousity James...Do you think that it's used as much to keep the kick out of the OH's and toms as it is to keep them out of the kick? My experience has been that I can get a relatively clean and isolated kick sound but often the kick can spill some nasty lo-mid stuff into the OH's and toms. I've never really gotten as elaborate as this huge tunnel and have generally just opted to place a packing blanket or 2 over the kick. Thanks!

not really because it's relatively easy to filter the Kicks out of the OH's, etc... the tunnel focuses the sound of the kick more.
