Will the dvd play on UK dvd players? What region is it?? Just carious because I could play it on my PC but it would be nice to watch it on my TV.

If your DVD player is also a divx player that won't be a problem. If it doesn't work you can find codes on the web to enter with your remote and that will unlock it.

About the dvd I never had one so I think I'll buy it.

Cheers bro.

I really don't know why the fuck everyone is bitching so much when the only worthwhile DVD Paul Gilbert ever released is Intense Rock 1 and everything else was utterly useless. Don't get me wrong, he's one of my favourite guitar players of all time. But seriously, I don't need to know how to play guitar with a human capo, I don't need to learn how to play flamenco wrong, I don't need to learn how to tap vivaldi with the same tapping technique I learnt 5 years ago. I'm going to buy those DVDs because I want to watch how Alexi plays those licks, and to show my support for the band, the same reason as everyone else who can actually be bothered to give a shit about musicians making a living is going to buy it. If you don't, thats you're problem, but really, no-one else gives a fuck.
I like the way you stated this. ans although our cases aren't the same (I haven't played for 5 years), I agree.
Well, obviously not. And thats why neither me or you are ever going to get anywhere in the music industry. Does that make you happy? I'd like the amount of effort I've put in to go somewhere, and I'm sure if you're as talented as the guitarists you aspire to be like and the things you say make you out to be, you'd like to do something worthwhile too some day.
lol you're such a pessimist. and unfortunately, I agree with this too.

That's stupid. He's bitching about Paul showing useful stuff in his GFM series (like how to bend, vibrato, blues playing, slides, harmonics), yet he says he's going to buy Alexi's DVD just because he wants "to watch how Alexi plays those licks". If he's that interested, he'll look in the tab thread. Yet, tabs can't teach you how to bend and phrase and how to practise in a way that won't have you soloing pointlessly in A harmonic minor without thinking about the groove of the backing track.

Obviously, I'm an Alexi fanboy but even I can admit that these new DVDs will probably be more pointless and less creative than any of PG's, just because of the diversity and how they both are as teachers/demonstrators.

Why did he bring Paul Gilbert into the discussion anyway? I have always got something out of watching PG's instructionals, can't really say the same about Alexi's.

I just ordered The Ultimate CoB Fan Bundle. I know Alexi can't really teach worth a shit, but I'm not buying the DVDs for learning value. I'm merely buying them as an Alexi fanboy who wants to see videos of Alexi. Will I learn anything? Probably not much at all, but I think it'll be fun watching. Plus I'll get a shirt/CD and have done something to support the band.

:)

If you bought TG magazine a while back there was loads of Paul Gilbert lessons in there which i found useful. I still suck tho :D

obviously PG is a better teacher than Alexi! but Mitch, what I was agreeing with was the part where he said this, "and to show my support for the band, the same reason as everyone else who can actually be bothered to give a shit about musicians making a living is going to buy it."

that's basically the reason I'm getting it also.

Fair enough then. I understand how difficult it is to make a LIVING with music, especially with the whole downloading thing nowadays.

Is there any other shop selling this but JSR?
I won't order something from them since I'm waiting 2 months for my order and they didn't answer one of the 7 mails i sent them.

I'm sure Bodom is doing just swimmingly compared to other bands. I'm sure they don't have financial problems from online downloading either.
