alot of mixed feelings on this one. I like how it starts off, then the vocals come in. I dunno.... I like when a singer can step outside of what they normally do and try and grow, but sometimes it just doesnt work out. This song would be a good example of not working out.
I am interested in hearing the new album....thats what this is for right?
I still havent listened to the last one these guys put out. I liked as the palaces burn alot, mainly because of the way it was recorded with the treble inputs higher giving it a sharp sound. I didnt hear anything that interested me in the last one though....maybe this one will be differant. But I really hope this is not how the vocals will be on the rest of the album, unless he finds a way to make it work.
These guys might be digging their own grave.

Ashes of the Wake is a lot more bass-heavy than As the Palaces Burn, and the material isn't quite as good, although I prefer the EQ immensly. I hate that high treble crap. Anyway, I agree, this album will alienate many of thier fans if this is the kind of singing to be expected.8sideways said:

LoG are farrrr left. I thought you were a huge fan? Thought you'd know that. They're always going on about how the war in Iraq is fucked up etc. There is a slight possibility of some neo nazi views, like maybe racism or other things, but mostly left, like most metalheads.
