Lamb of God

Guitars can be awsome, drummer and bassist are not memorable, singer sucks ass which basically means I don't like them.

I love Lamb of God. Chris Adler is an amazing drummer. His style is not the typical metal drummer, and the control he has over his kit is fucking sick. Mark Morton and Willie Adler are both knock your socks off guitarists. John Campbell might have grey hair, but he shreds his bass with the best of them. Randy is simply Randy. I think that Sacrament is the best piece of work they have done as a whole, and it is an album that I can listen from beginning to end. Ashes of the wake is the same for me as a listen through album. The Faded Line and Omerta are my favs off that album. But it was not always this way.

I hated them when I first heard them because of the vocals and the way that everything sounded kind of like everybody else, but then I had a chance to watch the Killedelphia dvd, and it showed that they are just normal dudes that do this because they are passionite about what they do, and pay tribute to the influences that they had. I will always check them out when they come to town.

Strangely enough, I don't like any of their albums except for their live one, which has infinitely better vocals for some reason.
They do have a good drummer though.

You thought they sounded like everybody else. But THEN you found out that they are normal dudes, passionate about the music, and paying tribute to their influences. How in the hell does that change their sound? If I found out tomorrow that, erm... fucking, Linkin Park were normal dudes, passionate about their music, and paid tribute to their influences, they would still SUCK.

Point taken about Chris Adler, though.

The DVD did not change my opinion of their sound, I grew accustom to it, and I enjoyed it the more I heard it. I hated Morningrise when I first heard it, but over time I opened my mind and listened to it. It is now the most spun Opeth disc I have.

And being a drummer, that is what I really listen to when I listen to music. And Chris Shreds.

and......
I would not see Linkin Park. I respect their talent, but I don't care for their music.

LOL

Chris Adler is a very original and talented drummer.

Love 'em. They have their own sound despite what anybody may say. I really don't understand why everyone insists on parroting "they're a Pantera rip-off" when they don't sound a thing like them (besides a few brief vocal moments on Sacrament).

man.. so much lamb of god hate.

randy blythe is a badass vocalist..

log rules, don't disrespect. :kickass:

its the fact that its pretty much synth free metal, thats not aiming for complete brutality, its just 'metal'

hence the reason they dub themselves pure american metal, it just sounds like its from the US, it just sounds like its to the point to me, comes off aggressive but not overboard.

killswitch engage is one band though, that I really just don't like.. I can't put my finger on it, but I cant listen to them.
