Lande/Allen MP3 Sample

Sounds awfully predictable power metal with two great singers wasting their time. Don't wanna be too judgemental yet, because I love both Lande and Allen as vocalists in their respective bands. However, this clip suggests they've joined forces barely to record another weak power metal album that will sound cool when it lasts, but won't be too memorable.
Anyway, I so hope to be wrong about this. Then, what do I know? I find Masterplan to be the worst thing Lande has ever been part of. Sure it's comprised of killer musicians, but the 'result' sucks, especially compared to Ark and Beyond Twilight. As for Lande, he just loves to be non-prog, doesn't he? First the understandable blues rock solo album and now this. Oh, well.

have you guys heard J Lande's project with Ronnie LeTekro? Vagabond?? If you haven't...your lucky...its complete crap...I never thought I'd say that about anything Jorn did....please bring back ARK!!!!!!!!
I thought it was excellent. Of course its going to be more power than prog, although it certainly won't be mediocre with the people involved. Magnus Karlsson doesn't do mediocre.
Ark overrated? Give me a break. Ark shits all over Masterplan from several hundred feet above.
Lande's The Snakes and Vagabond projects rule. At least they were solid hard rock discs with amazing guitar playing and killer vocals.

Well I thought all but one or two were very good. But that's more than I can say for the latest Masterplan album, which I find pretty disappointing (first one was MUCH better).

Predictable, but smooth after the first 15 seconds of listening. I'm anxious to hear the next 49:45. You've got to figure than an album like this is going to focus on the voices and not get too outrageous with the guitars. Production should be top notch.

I liked the clip but I'm much more of a power metal guy than a prog guy. I prefer Masterplan over Ark.
