Las Vegas Metalfest on labor day weekend for road trippers!

Well, I do not know about it being sold out, but it will most definitely attract all the west coasters. I know so many people from CA that are going, because we have been so deprived of Metal Fests on the West Coast. The last big one we had was N2D and that was like almost 3 years ago.

well for awhile on the front page of that website it kept track of how many tickets sold and how many total available and it looked like 1100 total available and it wasn't going super fast but it should pick up.

I don't think I can make it over as I am blowing all my money on going to the Wacken Open Air this year!

damn you :) you had to bring up Wacken. I not only wanted to make it to this year's wacken fest for the music but also because I now know a girl that lives nearby in Hamburg which I could have visited as part of same trip. :loco:

What's a trip to see a European fest going to cost one?

My round-trip flight is $793 to Hamburg. The Wacken ticket is 55 euro which equals about $66. I am staying in a hotel near Wacken (for 4 days) at approx $52 per night. Train between Hamburg & Wacken is maybe $40 roundtrip. Then I plan on having about $100 a day spending money for beer, food, merchandise.

Then after Wacken I am going to a little town on the coast for 2 days to recover from the marathon of Wacken.

Altogether I expect I will spend about $1800 for the one week trip.

Yeah Sean, I just decided this week to go to Wacken. Most of the group of people that I usually go with to the Milwaukee Metalfest each year are not able to make it to Milwaukee this year so I decided to put that money towards Wacken. This will be my first time to Wacken and I am looking forward to it.

DAMN that is quite pricy to go to Wacken. I have friends that live all over there so if I decided to go to Wacken it would be a lot less. No hotel. Shit, my trip to India for 2 and a half weeks costed me about $2100, fucking expensive for good fun! So man, have a fucking great time. I am pissed I am going to miss TUSKA OPEN AIR this year, it will be fucking great with the line-up they have so far!

Cheers:)

Yeah, I could do it alot cheaper if I really wanted but I've done enough of that budget travel in my life (I'm 32 and have travelled around the world since I was 18) and now I like to be comfortable to a point. I'm not living 5 star, but I'm not sleeping in hostels or tents either. Plus I plan on buying alot of CDs.

Did you like India? What part of India were you in? I spent 2 weeks in New Delhi and Agra and did not like it.

Tuska was last weekend and I heard it was great (I know someone who went).

Yeah, actually I was in India in 2001 just in New Delhi and I have to say I did not like it then, but this time around I enjoyed myself greatly! This time we went to New Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra - We went to Visant Vihar a lot, but that is just outside Old Delhi) It was a fucking amazing trip, and I had a really good time. Happy hour and the parties were out of hand, everyone there that I met basically just parties all day because there really isn't anything else to do but get wasted, go out and smoke hash!

I love going to Tuska, I was there for the 2001 show and it was excellent. I am sure it was impressive. There is always a shitload of people at Tuska.

Cheers:)

I have an idea...

If anyone that goes finds someone there wearing a slipknot shirt, be sure to kick them square in the balls and then crush thier head.

Thanks,
