The kick has that typical 'a lot treblier than the snare' syndrome here, but I can very well see why this had to be so, the incredibly dense and unique sound simply calls for it Incredibly clear, creative and heavy!
Not my cup of tea music-wise but I love the production, especially the guitars, and the balance with the acoustic guitars which I always struggle for no matter what.
Much the same as 3 years ago. Mainly Gojira's 'The Way of All Flesh' and Soilwork's 'Stabbing the Drama'. For this one I actually referenced Confession's new album a lot too. It has a pretty thin low-end, and I knew due to the insane tempos of this album that would come in handy as opposed to the more sub-heavy stuff I normally try to do.
