Got the new DVD and CD today. It's a pity I'm not a big Led Zep fan because I'd probably be suffering from chronic diarrhoea (sp?) right now, but at the moment my bowels are just mildly uncomfortable. :)

Everything looks rockin', but there's no booklet for the CD - what the funk??

man, if I had enough money for the CD and DVD, there wouldn't be enough pants in the world to shit.

Ceydn, I like you, but thats it, I hereby ban all further use of shitting pants in any form by you :) ;) :D

Zeppelin was/is notorious for not revealing much about themselves and letting the music speak for itself. There's virtually no information in any of their booklets. Even "Remasters" had no info except track listing. I guess they think that if you don't know enough about Led Zeppelin already there isn't much more you could learn in a CD booklet.

I like Led Zep, and have done so regularly for the last 10 years :). Not too keen on this new stuff for some reason. Maybe it's because I already have every song they ever recorded on two box sets.

Spiff, should you ever feel inclined to buy BBC Sessions, don't! The second disc is a full concert recording from 71 that should have been released on its own, but what did they go and do? They stuck another CD in there and filled it with unnecessary, dreadful quality live versions of songs I know and love. Sigh...

Gorey, that's all well and good but it's still fun to have a booklet to flip through, even if it's just pictures I've seen a million times before.

Didn't remasters have the thing from Cameron Crowe, or was that the box set of four CDs? Yeah, I think it was that one.

Suggestion duly noted, Stevie. :)

Well I for one will be getting the DVD & CD when I have the dough ........there is so much I want the new Metallica , Black Sabbath Never Say Die DVD, Thin Lizzy DVD live at the Sydney Opera House , heaps of other shit but no cigar ...........

The four disc set (first released in 1990) has a Cameron Crowe essay in the booklet, two shorter pieces by other rock journos, discography and a very detailed tracklist with full credits and recording dates. Well worth the $80 I paid for it, even if some of the tracks from Led Zeppelin III (my fave album of theirs) were relegated to the second box set that came out in 93.
