Quick info: Real drums (Kick and snare replaced with slate, rest is natural), Powerball & Cobra trough Engl V30.

Not fully done yet (details and stuff). I'm trying to settle on sound and levels for drums, bass, guitars & vox at the moment. I know it's nearly clipping and the bass is, well, probably already over the edge of being too much. I'm a bit unsure about that. But after seeing the band live, I think it has to be this way. They're really all about raw power. I mean, I've never had a drummer play this hard while recording, yet still producing pretty consistent hits. He really fucking punished his drums. One of those rare days I REALLY enjoyed doing this^^. Anyway...

I'm very thankful for ANY kind of input. Thank you very much.

Btw, never mind the title of the thread ;-) It's just the last part of the song reminded me of that.

Hey dude, sounds pretty cool!

My main advice would be to take a look at how much the kick is pumping the mix. It seems just a LITTLE overboard. Also maybe get a slightly more punchy snare in there as a blend? It sounds like it could use some more weight behind it.

Ermz, you're definitively right about the low end is pumping. Wouldn't let it have happened on a another band, but I'm actually kinda starting to like it here. But as I said, I'm not sure if it't just a little too much. Any other thoughts on this?
Apart from that, thank's guys, I will look into the snare. My GF got birthday today, so tomorrow.

siiiiiick guitar tone,

:OMG: Coming from your mouth, that is. I think I'll have a drink today on that one.

What are you referring with that thread title ?

Just kidding ! :)

Sounds very nice, nice song, great mix (but i kinda agree with the snare thing), great guitar sound (details ? how many tracks ? panned how ?), and those vocals sound great (reminds me of some of Jorge MERAUDER vocals).
