I like the matchup tonight for the BoSox. As a Yankee fan, I've watched Wells deliver time and time again in this situation. Plus, Buehrle has been racked by the BoSox the two times he's faced them this year.

As for the Yanks, if Wang beats the Halos tonight, I'd be surprised if the Yanks don't win in 3.

I think we can safely hand Dave Windfield's title of Mr. May to Arod. 2 for 15 with 0 RBIs, not to mention hitting into a rally-killing double-play in the 9th. I believe he also booted a ball or two. Back before he came here, people use to love to compare Arod and Jeter. The comparison is quite simple; if you want the best player April through September, Arod is your man. If you want the best player in October (or whenever it actually counts) Jeter is your guy.

All in all, it was a strange game. I think the very long top of the 2nd inning, probably contributed to Mussina's demise. Such is life. The Angels got the hits when they needed to get them, and they deserved to win.

At least the Phillies FINALLY took a step in the right direction. So long Wade, your firing should've come YEARS ago, but I'll take what I can get. I just hope the next GM takes care of firing Elmer BeFuddle (Charlie Manuel) as his first order of business.
