I'm spec'ing up a live recording setup using a Macbook pro w/Reaper or Logic (which ever is more stable) and I was looking at running a Presonus Firestudio Lightpipe with 4 Digimax's.

This is the best way of getting 32 ins? It seems good for the cash? Help please

How much is that going to cost you?

Over £1500? I'd rather have less inputs and better quality. You could get an RME Fireface 800 and an RME Quadmic, plus a Focusrite Octopre for about the same.

depends if you need 32 ins I guess.. I you do, then your setup is about as cheap as you will get without using Behringer mic pre's.

Yeah needs to be 32 but I was kinda going for a lightpipe so I could maybe plum in something buff like the new UA710 or something similar.
Ill look at the RME stuff too, Ta!
