Lindsay Lohan & Miley Cyrus in Iron Maiden shirts??

It's hard to believe that people like Cyrus and Lohan listen to maiden.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Just cos they make pop music doesn't they can't like some metal. I listen to everything - some of the cheesiest pop going like Britney Spears or the Backstreet Boys and I love it - but that doesn't mean I can't listen to really heavy shit like Machine Head or Slayer as well.

Manilow likes Slayer???o_O ouch, my head just exploded:lol:

I asked him about that when I got to meet him a few years ago in Vegas cuz I heard he had the entire catalogues of Maiden and Slayer and he said, "Well,.............I did." Tryin to find that pic again of him with his new The Iron Maidens t-shirt! It's posted in here somewhere!

Well, I think it's partially a result of the whole "Hot Topic" 80s concert shirt phenomenon. It's the 20-year cycle--now the 80s are cool and retro. I see kids today wearing all kinds of metal concert shirts. I seriously doubt most of them actually know or listen to those bands. But--I suppose that may no longer be true anymore either, now with Guitar Hero and the like popularizing old-school hard rock and metal for this generation. I guess if these things ultimately turn kids on to "the good stuff," then I offer my thanks to Hot Topic and Guitar Hero.

You bring up an excellent point Kirsten. The Guitar Hero games have definitely opened up a whole new generations ears to metal and rock.

At the end of the day, if people get into it - it doesn't matter by what means. :headbang:

I've seen them. I'm sure it's a Live After Death one that Lindsay had on and there was a whole article about Miley, with her saying that she loves the songs Run To The Hills and Running Free if I remember right.

She made a YouTube video addressing it because no one believed she was legit. She cited "Aces High" as a favorite, which showed me she was either legit or really well-schooled. She didn't pick an obvious song.

Lohan, who the fark knows. That girl is lost.
