I've been using it a lot the past week or so and all of sudden it just died. Won't work with batteries, won't work with AC Adapter.

Anyone know how I could possibly fix it? Or is gone for good

Try cleaning the input jack and check the connections. Many pedals won't power up if they don't "know" that something is plugged into them.

If that's not the case, it's hard to know the problem without a physical inspection. Take it in to your local repair place or bite the bullet and replace it (which might be cheaper than a repair if you buy secondhand or refurbished/B-stock).

Is it making any noise at all?

I had a similar issue with mine, ended up being the main chip

This is a well-documented flaw with the DL4s. Here's what you do:

1) Remove the bottom plate and pop open that son of a bitch.

2) Find the small, squared chip in a socket (Hint: there's only one...unless you're drunk).

3) Use whatever you can find to GENTLY pull it out (pushpin-type thumbtacks or very small flathead screwdrivers work alright).

4) Whisper a few sweet nothings into the chip.

5) Gently insert the chip back into the socket (Beavis & Butthead would be proud.)...exactly as it was.

4) You're done. Your DL4 should work good as new (it will also be restored to factory settings, so that sweet ass 64th note reverse delay @ 275bpm will be lost). Congrats. Now go to your favorite bar and pick up some strange.

In all seriousness, this "fix" does work...unless the problem is something else (but I honestly doubt it). What you're actually doing is removing static build up in the DL4's chip. I actually bought a few "broken" DL4s for super cheap, reset the chip and resold them for a profit. Ah, capitalism. Good luck!

I'm not even into metal. I just made this profile real quick to say you fixed my DL4 dude! I've been trying to figure it out for days. You're the man. Thanks!!!

you can also do a hard reset by plugging in power, holding down switches 1 and 4 and inserting a guitar cable into the input jack.
