The band is called Liquid Tension Experiment and thankfully we can hear these musicians without those shitty lyrics and vocals.

Dream Theater is my favorite band...........they are just above Nevermore........... I tried getting into savatage........friend has all their albums........but I can't.......they are just too......stale.........
LTE is fuckin awesome! Dream Theater is awesome!.......and I don't find most of the songs gay at all (granted, there are a few moments) but overall, it rules!

Did someone say Savatage was "stale"?!?!?!?!
What are you talking about....have you even really listened to 'em.

Their more like moldy bread!!LOL

Kidding, they are a good band that suffers from the "Joey Belladonna" syndrome.

fucking AWESOME

three minute warning is AMAZING!!!!!!

this is like DT minus the shitty gay vocals, and ALL virtuosity, non of this U2 sounding crap like on Awake and most of their CDs
You seem to think that showing off and shredding is more important than actual song structures.

I have never listened to Dream Theater, because like many folks, I find the sound of James LaBrie's voice incredibly irritating. Then, on the most recent G3 tour, I had a chance to catch Petrucci and Portnoy opening up for Vai and Satriani and was totally blown away. I immediately went out and picked up the latest LTE CD... and it is phenomenal.

GZ

Like I said, I personally like James Labrie......and I couldn't imagine another vocalist in Dream Theater...... granted there are a lot of vocalists out there that are better or whatever but I have been listening to them from the beginning and he grew on me (actually liked his voice from the start) for those that haven't heard any dream theater, one my favs is Metropolis Part I......it's off their second album (first with Labrie), Images and Words......awesome album...

labrea tries to go much higher than he should, and he is given the spotlight wayyyyyy too much considering he is not that great.
"The spotlight?"
WHat the hell is that? Generally if you are the singer in a band you are supposed to SING for the band and not just accompany the instrumental wankery. What I like about DT is that they can show off theri abilities without writing songs made only to showcase their soloing. Every member contributes to the song.
