Does anyone here like Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerrard?

I love Lisa's work. Some of it reminds me of a friend especially one song called Sacrifice. Probably my favorite of all her songs.

I love her work, well in fact not all of her work, not the solo stuff.
But Dead Can Dance, and also the soundtracks she made! It rules
I went into Dead Can Dance through Spiritchaser. What is the title of the last song? I don't remember, but it rules!

Her voice is very powerful and dramatic. Do you know the song "Ocean" on their self-titled album? There are times when it just makes me cry...

Lisa gerrard is boss. And brendan Perry's stuff is neato too. Tho some dead can dance stuff can get a bit boring

I've never heard Brendan Perry's solo stuff. What would you recommend?

I only think hes done one solo album, eye of the hunter. Nothing like DCD and maybe a bit too country n western for you

I acutually listened to Brendan Perry's solo CD and thought it sucked. Lisa Gerrard's "The Mirror Pool" is great tho. As well as almost all of Dead can Dance's stuff.

i have dead can dance's "spleen and ideal" and it's sooooooooo boring. tell me another album that will get me to like them.

They may just bore you then but Into The Laybrinth and A Passage in Time are good. My favorite though is a kinda live album called Toward The Within. Lisa kicks out the best vocals that she does on any of the albums, just like she does live. And so does Brendan.
