....and if that album was to be released tomorrow with modern production, it wouldn't sound at all different to 90% of so called 'power' metal today!! Amazing to think that in almost 20 years the genre really hasn't progressed at all!!

:p :p :p :p :p

Good album that is. It's not really a power metal album though. Very Thrash metal. I think it's good solid debut for Helloween. I really like Kai Hansen's crappy rough vocal style. Killer guitar works also.

I'm listning to Dokken's "Back For The Attack" a lot since last week. Got the album from amazon.

'Kiss Of Death', 'Prisoner', 'Mr. Scary', 'So Many Tears' and 'Stop Fighting Love' are my fave songs from that album.

'Kiss Of Death' has killer riffs.

Anyways has anyone heard of band called Halloween from USA?

:p Back at yer!

There's a handful of Rainbow you'd be forgiven for thinking was power metal on hearing it without knowing the band.

Catch The Rainbow sounds more like Helloween then the Best Of but that might be due to the fact it has appearances from both and present Helloween members.

If anyone wants to know what Walls Of Jericho would probably sound like with a modernized production then they should check out Stormwarrior www.stormwarrior.de

You think so? Can't really hear much of a resemblence myself. But look into Stormwarrior anyway. I bought the CD in Sweden, on the strength of the band name and the album cover. It looked like the sort of thing I'd like, and sure enough I wasn't disappointed :)

First time I heard Stormwarrior I was in Bochum. I actually thought it was a rare B side Helloween song. Anyway I bought the album on the strength of the song I heard. Anyway I love the album and I still think it has many similarities to Jericho. Maybe it's the influence of a certain Mr Hansen who produced and guested on the album.
