posted the full lesson over at SD's forum (link = http://www.seymourduncan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=158231), but here's an interesting lick you may want to try that uses a George Lynch-ish flat 5th/raised 7th idea (here, just the flat 5th) and a tongue twisting descending part....

E||----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B||--------------------12--15--11--15--12--15--11--15--12--15--11--15--|
G||------12--14--15---------------------------------------------------------|
D||--14----------------------------------------------------------------------|

Cool little lick bro, will practice up to get it nice and fast :P

thanks! yeah, I can't play the descending part all that fast right now.

note: in the original lesson, I messed up the tab for the transformed original scale (now fixed). that makes the shown lick more of a hybrid ditty since it has the D and B notes, but tits OK, better to not play by the rules anyway.

i see the flat 5(Bb) but i don't see a raised 7th in there. looks like a good ol' normal 7th to me(D). cool exercise though and thanks.

hehe, yeah, I messed up at first and forgot the raised 7th in the lesson :erk:. I fixed the tab of the full scale in the original lesson, but the lick sounds kinda cool with just D. thanks!

This might be a cool idea.

Why don't we all post up more exercises and licks and shit so we can all build up our chopz?

I'm always hoping James Murphy posts some crazy scale exercise for us to play with! But I'll try anyone's little tricks out actually. I'll post more stuff if I find some useful things; not sure if anyone cared at first.
