live drums triggering

hello,

so a band asked me to work with them on their tour as the audio guy.

so we've borrowed the equipment and everything works good except the drums sound.. their recording each show so they want a pretty good quality.

i thought that live drum triggering would help but what equipment should i get for this?

If he's sending triggers through the FOH mains then put a second trigger on the kick that records just strictly the trigger signal into a DI box straight into your recording device so that you can sample replace it later on in the mix stages. Also do this same thing for each other drum head so that you have trigger samples to either gate with and/or sample replace/blend
