logic pro bitrate

im trying to import an audio file that is 32 bit. logic wont accept it. it gives me an error message telling me it cannot import 32 bit audio files. i tried searchin the instrustion reference and couldnt find anything other than that 32 bit isnt supported. this is a $1000 program, theres no way i can make this work???


im kind of new at logic and am mixing a song for a friends band and would appreciate some help. thanks

actually nevermind. with enough digging i figured ot that logic pro unfortunately does not suport 32 bit audio... so i just used wave burner to covnert to 24 bit and off i go..

I'm curious as to how this 32 bit file came into existence, since there are no AD converters in existence with a bit depth higher than 24 bits (though internal summing engines are a different story)

beats the crap out of me. it seems over the top. but one of the acousticguitar audio files on the cd the kid gave me was 32 bit.

logic has a 32-bit engine, but it can't use 32-bit waves.
