Logie discussion

Nup, neither.

And yes Gore, you are right. I was disappointed the Logies warranted a thread, especially since I didn't know they had even happened until I saw a newspaper today.

Probably what you might call elitist shit.

I generally like stuff that is on the abc, series like Wire in the Blood, The Bill (though that is shit and most of the time these days I can't be bothered turning on the tv to watch it), Foreign Correspondent is often interesting, I like a bit of Desperate Housewives and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
Oh and 100 Center Street on the abc was an awesome show, as were the Nero Wolfe Mysteries. And I quite liked Nip/Tuck but I found that one too late unfortunately.

I watch abc mostly because I like british tv, they do it well. As for Aussie and American stuff it is a bit hit and miss.
Mostly I can't stand the way Seven and Nine advertise their programs, the voice over is ridiculous and puts me off everytime.

As for Home and Away and Neighbours, I just don't get it. The fact that there seems to be no point to the shows is just disturbing. They go round and round and round and round. Maybe if they changed the timeslot and all the building up they do resulted in an emotional climax of something gratuitous like sex scenes or violence then I could watch them.

Yeah, Zoe's skinny but don't forget, she's a psycho, so she could have superhuman strength when in stalker mode. And you don't actually see the stalker walking around carrying the bodies, just putting them in the boot, so they might cut out the half hour or so that the stalker spends trying to get them into the boot.

Also, all the signs point to it being her anyway.

Something I was wondering while watching the Logies, although I think I know the answer to the question - why don't they have Silver Logies for outstanding performances in comedy series? It's just drama, which is probably because a) there aren't that many good Australian comedy shows, and b) drama is apparently harder and therefore classier than comedy.

I had the pre-logies fashions on in the corner of the room while surfing the net or whatever the I was doing on the computer. I got about 1/2 way through the intro to the actual awards show before I had to turn it off. That "surfing on the logie trophy" thing that they did was just... I couldn't stand it. Totally cringe worthy.

Then i got bored and turned it back on later, and it was the bit with Thorpey and Magda... also cringeworthy, so I turned it back off again for good.

It is generating some discussion on this often dull forum, which was the intent, so what is wrong with that? Not our fault you weren't aware of such an 'event'. :Smug: :Spin: :tickled:

Except the fact that she was 'attacked'.

Am I the first one to mention Ian Hill?

Easily the best presenter of the night, even though no one seemed to give him kudos. Fucking hilarious cunt.

When he was talking to Michael Buble:

"I heard one of the guys from Il Divo just before... and I loosely translated it from Italian to say 'Buble is a pussy, let's take him down'"

He was easily the fucking highlight.

O'Keefe was funny in places too, but Rove was a bit of a letdown as a host, and Eddie was Eddie.

Didn't really care about any of the winners, although Russell Coight should've won.

Watch Spicks and Specks, ABC, 8:30 Wednesday. It is the single greatest show on television at this current point in time...and is hosted by Adam Hill.

yeah, I do watch it.

Bloody great, especially when they had Bill Bailey on. I just never knew the hosts name.

But you never saw her being attacked, because Kim went off into the bushes to look for the stalker and then Zoe started screaming and saying she got stabbed. Also, you never saw her get kidnapped, she just went to answer the door, screamed and that was it.

Also, the person talking to Sarah Lewis on the tape last night was obviously Zoe, and when we finally saw the stalker last night in front of Sally, it was obviously a skinny chick.

It just seems all so obvious and therefore a massive letdown, though. :( Oh well.
