lol WTF? mbox mico?!

aside from cheapness/portability, this thing's perfect for people like myself who want PT, but don't want/need the i/o that the m-box offers

PT LE is definitely nothing special, but being able to import PT sessions from elsewhere can be pretty handy

very useful for editing on laptop etc in hotel room after a day in the studio. Saves carting the m box around just so you can monitor / run pro tools. I'll be picking one up for sure

The price tag's a little rough for what is essentially a dongle. I with they sold a version without the software, for the people that already have PT (which is pretty much everyone that would actually HAVE interest in this product) for a bit less...

Makes sense that they wouldn't though, I guess they don't want every kid with a cracked PT to be able to buy a dongle for $50 and have PTLE... boo

I have an MBox 1 that I bought used for that. Comes in handy.

i was going to snag the m-box mini for the sole purpose of being able to bring in PT sessions from elsewhere, but didn't want to pay for inputs and converters that i wasn't going to use

problem solved with the micro...

only thing that sucks is the inability to go over 48k...

My mbox2 fits in my laptop case (and it doesn't add that much wieght) so I really don't see the point personally, all well.

Actually it fits quite nicely.

I was excited about the idea of the micro but when I saw the price and realized I could get a mini for $50 more I thought: 'why would I buy this?'
If it were $100-150 I'd be all over it for the easy editing on the go.

at first glance i thought it was stupid but then i thought about it and it really is a cool idea. the name m box micro is kind of misleading though. maybe like...pro tools dongle, lol. idk.

The price is ridiculous! Taking into account that one could only use his headphones to work with it (unless you can be arsed to get some strange mini stereo jack -> 2x 1/4" mono converter cable...)
I'd rather get a 80 gig iPod for that money... :loco:
