sup guys,


recorded my first decent demo for a mates hardcore band this week. ive been reading here heaps latly in the lead up.

the link isHERE is the "demo" version.

feel free to listen to the other one, i think its a x1000 improvment .

the guitars are one left and right, and an extra up the middle, recorded a JCM2000 i think ,with a sm57 into mixer then into my imac through logic.

i low passed the guitars at 10000 and high at 60, with a slight EQ.

drums are addictive drums with the egg preset that floating around (thanks its awesome!)

probably doing vocals this week, should be a leaning cuve as ive never done them, but we shall see.

Nice guitars... something ain't right with those drums, though. A little too much bottom end in the mix, you might want to thin this out a bit.

cheers for the feedback fellas, i really dont have any decent monitors or dedicated headphones. i updated the mix droped the bass and up'd the guitars.

First mix: The kick is up there. I don't like the kick sound at all, so I'd replace it. bring the killer kick in and the guitars up.

2nd mix: OH YEAH! Dig the mix now! I still don't like that kick, but the mix is good!
