No...not Poison...just your friendly neighborhood jarhead who's been MIA for the last - oh - 7 or 8 months.

Glad to see the plankowners still have this joint running smoothly and keeping the peace.

So what's the latest and greatest? :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Can I have your autograph!?!?!?1:lol: Saw you on the Headbangers Journey DVD... nice:headbang:

Hope all is good with you and yours, glad to see you poppin' in and

Thanks Kitty - Sam did a really good job on the documentary - I'm glad I got to be a part of it. He just called me yesterday - and get this:

My email address had changed a while back and I guess Sam never got the new one. So - leading up to the release of the DVD - Sam was going to be in NYC with Lamb of God doing some signings. Sam mentioned that he had a good time interviewing me during one of the conversations and they guys in teh band told him to invite me down for the signing and to have dinner with them afterwards...they were pretty stoked that I was wearing a LOG shirt in the doc and they wanted to meet me (THEY wanted to meet ME?).

So...Sam tried emailing me and I never got the email because my address had changed. Sam just got back home last week cause he's been all over the place and he dug through all his stuff and found my cell # and called me.

I was pretty bummed but next time he's in town we'll get together. He's sending me a few copies of the DVD and soundtrack as well - free stuff rules.

I'm just glad I got to be a part of the doc...I think it was really well done.

Hope you all enjoyed it as well...and thank you to this site and especially the Old School crew - because here is where I first heard about the doc and that they were looking for fans.

Good to see you! I saw you on Headbangers Journey too. You've gotten a bit of talk on some other boards as one of the best fan interviews in the movie. :kickass:

How's the little one doing?

Glad to hear some people liked my interview...I just tried to be honest. :headbang:

Glad they got the pics of me and Slayer in there (that's my wife next to me in one of them).

Pretty cool stuff...

Is it called " The Headbanger's Journey"?, is it out on DVD?, it was never broadcasted here as far as I know, if it is on DVD I'll order it through Amazon if you'll confirm the name.

That was you with the LOG shirt in the doc? :OMG: This world is a small place :D
Welcome back by the way!

I saw the doc in a ("artsy") cinema 2 weeks ago, and I was actually impressed at just how good it turned out! Especially the interviews with Dee Snider, Dio, Alice Cooper and... Gorgoroth
I'm looking foward the DVD version now :)

I think it was the honesty that did it. Most of what I read, people identified quite easily with your take on things.

Welcome back. MIA indeed, good to know life goes on and old school along.

That was yours truly...:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Gaahl from Gorgoroth just absolutely cracked me up. I mean...hey - he has his schtick and all that - but PLEASE - he actually sits there and try to make people believe he's some sinister warlock or some crazy shit like that...funny stuff.

Much appreciated on the cheers Wheez...

And as far as the honesty goes...yeah - I would have to agree. Funny how the truth hits home with so many of us who are into Metal because it simply moves us - we didn't choose it - it chose us - and many of us started out in the Metal scene when it was completely UNCOOL to like Metal (early 80's) - we were devil-worshippers, burn-outs, idiots etc - and then all of a sudden it got cool and the people pointing fingers a few years earlier were "fans". And then - grunge happened and Metal supposedly "died" - yet we all kept listening to our favorite bands and there was still a kick ass scene - it just wasn't mainstream. And now - things have come full-circle again and it's totally new but rooted in the same spirit as always.

The people who ask me when I'll stop wearing the shirts really crack me up and I feel sorry for them...because they just don't get it. It's not - nor was it ever - a fad for us. It's always been a way of life and a part of who we are. Period. They can go buy whatever happens to be popular at the moment.

OK - I need to stop before I get all sappy.

METAL RULES :headbang:
