Looking to buy a small Orange...

300 or less US. i've seen a few posts here on the Micro Terror. decent? if so, what cab would you pair with it?

I owned a micro terror briefly. It definitely needs a boost to get enough gain for modern metal. No FX loop sucks since you can't add an eq pedal for extra tone shaping. Still though, it's a cool amp and great for the price. If you can save a little more try finding a Dark Terror used. That amp has plenty of gain and is way more brutal.

My buddy has the Dark Terror and it's a tiny little cute fucking thing. Pretty much too much gain on tap. The only downside is there is no EQ; but just a "shape" knob or something like that.

A bit fizzy for my tastes, but still sounded pretty boss.

If you can spend a little more (or find one used) I'd recommend the Orange OR-15. I use it to practice, with a little Orange 1x12 and I love it!

If you want a little more agressiveness, the Jim Root Terror is tits too! Didn't like the normal Dark Terror though.. Really scratchy and harsh sounding

I have a dark terror. Pretty beast.
Sounds like this. Just use a low pass.

I like the Tiny Terror quite a bit. The Dual Terror is pretty neat as well but honestly, if I was spending more I'd probably rather get the OR-15 as well, even though I haven't even tried one.

As far as the cab goes, the Orange 1x12" with the v30 is very good, although a bit honky.

I don't really like 'em. They sound fizzy and thin to me. The big bitches are brilliant though, the rockerverb is class.
