Hey guys, just looking for some feedback on my mixing. I feel like I've reached a stage where I can apply whatever I've read, and then used my ears to make it sound pretty good, but I'm not sure what to do to take it to the next level. I've got 2 samples here, the second one is much newer.

Been using logic 8, Superior Drummer 2.0 and a POD XT Pro.

I don't have many posts, but I've been mixing a little, listened to your mix twice. Been playing guitar for about 12 years so I have good ears :)

(this is what I'd do)

The vocals are at a fine level, don't change them.

Bring some low's up in the guitar, and turn some of the highs down. The level I think is fine, tweak with the EQ a bit and it'll sound a little thicker.

Maybe its the bitrate of the stream, but the cymbals sound a little fuzzy. I would turn the level of those down a little too so the vocals will stand proud.

If you can, turn the kick up a teeny bit.

The snare is ok, maybe turn the lower end of the snare down.

The bass guitar is at a good also.
