I pay $591 a month for a "town house" w/basement, first floor living room/dining room/kitchen, second floor two bedrooms/bathroom. plus a garage. no land tho, which is good because my neighbors would be pissed cause I'd never mow.

I pay $2500 for a two-bedroom run-down POS in Brighton. but we converted the attic into two bedrooms and the office into a bedroom (mine! closetless and about 10'x12') and split it 5 ways so it's not so bad (I pay 465). we have a first floor with a medium common room, a smallish dining room, and a decent kitchen, plus four parking spots and a porch out back.

problem is, we pay all utilities. in the winter, our heating bill can be up to $450/month, and the electric bill is usually around $100 (more in the summer).
