The inaugural installment of the Louder Than Life festival which was held on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 at Louisville Champions Park in Louisville, Kentucky lived up to its name, with those living as far away as Utica, Indiana complaining about noise levels throughout the weekend.According to WDRB.com, Jeffersonville Police received 70 complaints by 9 p.m. on Sunday, with some local residents saying that the traffic was unbearable."It was just loud and obnoxious," Shane Russell of Jeffersonville, Indiana said. "It was rattling the walls on my house, I couldn't hear my TV. It was driving me crazy.""It was like it was right across the street," Beverly Shingleton told WDRB.com. "You could actually hear the MC talking and announcing the band, the cheering, the clapping and him hollering over the mic and everything else."Louder Than Life featured performances by KID ROCK, JUDAS PRIEST, KORN, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, LIMP BIZKIT, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS with Chester Bennington, VOLBEAT, PAPA ROACH and many more.Danny Hayes, the CEO of Danny Wimmer Presents, the concert's promoter, told WHAS11.com on Saturday that he hoped to grow the event in the city for years to come."For a first-year festival, there's going to be probably 17,000 people a day in here which is a nice-sized festival," he said. "We think we can grow this to 50,000 people a day. We are making a long-term commitment to this city and we are going to build something big and special."Hayes told WDRB.com that he was "already having conversations with the city to make adjustments for next year."
