low-space stands for mics?

Hey there, although my drumbooth is not HUGE it's big enough for most drumkits, but I'm totally annoyed by 12-15 stands surrounding it.
I'm fine with the smaller stands I can use for kick and snare-bottom, but the stands for the tommics are really going on my tits.
I'm not a big fan of those rim-clips either since I think vibration of the rim/shell does influence the sound a bit.
so I'm looking for a better solution to mic toms etc that takes less space than the standards micstands....any ideas?

Seriously the vibration is negligible and in my opinion plays in your favor (the mic is moving along with the tom).

I'm a big fan of Shure A56D's. I've been using those for about 5 years and haven't ever had any issues.

Just a thought on another alternative solution...if it's a rack kit, could you use a hardware clamp to hold the boom bit of a mic stand?
