Just noticed (thanks to Post Scriptum) that Luc Lemay has 4 original classical works on his myspace. I'm digging them, especially the 2nd flute concerto.

Wow, I like that stuff quite a bit. I knew that he had formal training and that he wrote classical music but I had no idea it was available to hear, so thanks.

The violin sonata reminds me a lot of a Penderecki violin sonata. I take it he's heavily influenced by that style, which is cool

Anyway, I think Lemay is probably the most talented person in the metal scene. Yup

Bah, it'll be worth it when Negativa's demo does come out (we don't have too much longer to wait). Luc and Steeve make a great songwriting team.

Daniel Mongrain (Martyr, ex-Gorguts, ex-Cryptopsy, Capharnaum, ex-Quo Vadis) also play classical music and stuff like that, he completly lives off his musical skill. He also studied in music at the university level.

well he is a session guitarist for various artists, theatre plays and musical comedy, stuff like that. He is really good at guitar.

New Martyr (Can) album coming out october 31st.
