it's an old ibanes DC Les Paul with Duncan Custom into 6505-->Engl v30 1xsm57
Bass was Thunderbird, mainly sansamp
Drums were my Yamaha Kit and my sd6445 snare.
I've actually uploaded some samples from this very session (search for "Lucy's Doll Tomsamples" or something)
the vocalchain was kinda interesting..
sm7 into API..the API was driven really hard to get some distortion....into Smart C2 on "Crush" to distort them even further..output of the smart boosted into the Apogee on softclip=even more distortion.
I kinda liked the distortion of the API+Smart(crush)...bigger effort than a plugin but fun nonetheless...kinda like a 10k€ distortion pedal

That vocal chain is just sick! Didn't you have any problems with so much gain on vox? I mean, breathing noises, de-essing and all that rumble going on in the mix...

not really, the distortion came out really smooth and I didn't have to do anything to it really..I think I didn't even use an EQ.
There's one song on the CD (not in the medley) that has even WAY more distorted vox...worked well as well.
