LYCANTHIA to support MAYHEM.

That's right.

One of the most controversial Metal bands ever MAYHEM who basically kickstarted the whole Norwegian Black Metal scene in the late 80's/early 90's will be here for an Australian tour in May with special guests NAZXUL.

They will be playing Sydney on May 22nd @ The Metro Theatre and i'm very proud to announce that LYCANTHIA will be the opening act for this particular gig!

Definitely well deserved and a long time coming for the guys/gals to be a part of a gig of this magnitude. Should be an amazing evening.

Hope we can get all your support for LYCANTHIA on this!:kickass:

Tickets go on sale March 3rd.

IMMEDIATE MAYHEM TOUR PRESS RELEASE

Mayhem Australia/New Zealand Tour Postponed to later in 2008

Due to the recent amendments of the entertainment visa requirements set by the Australian Immigration Department, Mayhem will not be able to get their visas approved in time for their scheduled Australian and NZ tour dates. As a result, tour promoter Just Say Rock in conjunction with Mayhem, have decided to postpone the tour to later this year.

All parties are now working on new dates for the Mayhem tour. The new dates will be released ASAP.

Any patron wishing to obtain a refund for their current ticket can do so by returning it to the point of sale to get the face value refunded. However;

***ALL CURRENT PURCHASED TICKETS WILL BE VALID FOR THE NEW DATES, ONCE THEY ARE ANNOUNCED.***

:(:( This is bad news! Lycanthia frigging deserve mad supports like this one was going to be.

I hope Fred Nile's crew had nothing to do with this bullshit? :(

Norwegian black metallers MAYHEM have issued the following update:

"As many of you know, the previous Australian tour [which was scheduled to take place late May 2008] was cancelled. MAYHEM was extremely disappointed and outraged for the cancellations. This was COMPLETELY out of the band's control. MAYHEM wants to let you know that the fans Down Under have not been forgotten. An Australian tour is in the works right now. MAYHEM will not release official dates until the tour is SOLID to avoid any further disappointments or screw-ups! Just wanted to let everyone know that the band knows Australia demands MAYHEM and they will answer the call! Look for dates in the VERY near future..."

As previously reported, MAYHEM is planning a U.S. tour in early 2009. The trek will reportedly consist of 21 shows and will kick off in the early spring. The exact cities and dates will be announced soon.

MAYHEM was honored in the "Metal" category at the 36th annual Spellemann awards (the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy Awards) for their latest release, "Ordo Ad Chao". The largest and oldest Norwegian music awards show was held on February 2, 2008 at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway and was broadcast live on the Norwegian channel TV2.

"Ordo Ad Chao" entered the Norwegian album chart at position No. 12, the band's highest position ever.
