Hi there,
i recently installed a Aurora 16 to my system, hooked up via ADAT to a MOTU 2408MKIII.
The three converter units i have (Aurora16, 2408MKIII and 2408) are clocked by an Antelope Isochrone OCX. I tested a Big Ben as well but cause the Aurora comes with Syncro Lock wich just syncs the Aurora internal clock to the external, it makes no overall difference in sound, but i like the idea to have the whole setup clocked with one solid Master Clock.
So far i like the sound, i would say - "there is no sound" cause the Aurora seems to translate very clear without any coloration.
When monitoring i have the feeling that the stereo image improved as well as a mono source sounds much more "mono" i mean - like a razorblade "standing" beetween the two monitors (ADAM S3A's).
Anyone out there using a Aurora 16 as well?
I don't like that the "Over" LEDs are jumping in @ -1db.. That is no overload IMHO.
