Lyric differences (words)

I noticed that when i was listening to Sides from the Dominion promo and then "closing in" from the Sun Caged album the music is very similiar but the lyrics are very different.

Why were the lyrics changed? I.M.O. the lyrics (not necessarily the actual singing) was much better on the Dominion promo.

What is everyone elses view on this, and perhaps someone knows why they were changed?

I personally prefer the lyrics from Closing In.

I think they also changed the lyrics because of the new vocal lines. Those are way better than on the Dominion demo. The lyrics from Sides don't fit into the new vocal lines, so they had to change the lyrics.

It makes me sad; i dig the metaphor for Sides much more.
Still love closing in, though.
