lyric translation for Sorskogen?

Thank you. Is it about one of Mike/Swanö friends?? Who wrote the lyrics?
Btw, did anyone notice how people in this board used to be friendly :p ?

Mike grew up in Sörskogen (the goo-forest) in Huddinge!

so did I, or well, in Vidja, at the opposite side of the lake Olången.

geographics:kickass:

in fact, I just translated into modern swedish :p

Sör actually means dry wood; Sörved, which is used for fires to spark and sound cozy or something.

so I guess the proper translation of Sörskogen is "the Forest of dry woods"

Sör can also be an older or shorter form of söder, which means south (for example in Sörgården). Then Sörskogen would mean "Southern forest".

I think Norwegian uses Sör for South.
