Whenever I'm near them my guitar tends to generate hum. Once I switch them off and shift to my headphones the hum is gone. I've never noticed this before, considering I was always using a noise gate. Is this normal, or is the magnetic shielding fucked up?:erk:
 
Dogg, you gotta give it a minute. There's been 36 thread views, and I'm probably 5 of those views, and I don't know a thing about electronics. If you want facts, it's very likely that the 36 people don't have them. If you want opinions, mine is buy a new set of monitors.
 
I have these same monitors and can't recall having the same problem, but the current project I'm working on has guitars starting on Wednesday so I can test it out then if you'd like. :)
 
That would be great, dude. In the mean time I'll double check my grounding.
Maybe one of the ground pins on the expansion board is broken? lol
