M-Audio BX8A problem.

Whenever I'm near them my guitar tends to generate hum. Once I switch them off and shift to my headphones the hum is gone. I've never noticed this before, considering I was always using a noise gate. Is this normal, or is the magnetic shielding fucked up?

Dogg, you gotta give it a minute. There's been 36 thread views, and I'm probably 5 of those views, and I don't know a thing about electronics. If you want facts, it's very likely that the 36 people don't have them. If you want opinions, mine is buy a new set of monitors.

I have these same monitors and can't recall having the same problem, but the current project I'm working on has guitars starting on Wednesday so I can test it out then if you'd like.

Maybe one of the ground pins on the expansion board is broken? lol

Make sure you're using balanced or XLR cables to go to the BX8as.
