POWERWORLD, the German band featuring ex-FREEDOM CALL bassist Ilker Ersin, have issued the following brief update:

"We are proud that we have a new strong voice on the microphones. Please welcome Mr. Andrew McDermott. Mac is the ex-singer of the German band SARGANT FURY and former frontman of the UK progband THRESHOLD. He is a man with a lot of experience. Our songs got exactly the power and spirit what they need. We want to finish the work on the album as fast as possible to play on the festivals this year. Stay tuned."


(hope the mods don't mind me posting this but it would be of interest to many of you out there. Powerworld is a band that sounds very similar to German band Freedom Call - happy melodic/power metal)

Makes sense, I guess. He joined Galloglass a while ago, but that never worked...I think the band's dead now, too.

Later on, that godawful Swamp Freaks thing...Mac still part of that? I hope not. He can do better than that!

Kind of glad he joined a more serious (power)metal band.
