I wont change strings on peoples guitars if it has "signs of smoking".. seriously, have you guys felt the smell of an acoustic guitar drenched in dirt and cigarette smoke?
Jesus fucking Christ it smells terrible, it really stings in your nose.
I come from a family full of smokers, so its not that im not used to that smell, but it gets soo fucking strong when it starts digging in to the guitar..
tip: Dont start working as a guitar tech! Fucking disgusting job.. having to peel of a fucking 3 inch peel of shit from the fretboard. *shrugs*

The worst part is that i have worked on ~200-300 guitars so far.. only 1 was pretty clean, and that one belonged to my boss. ;X
I am however thinking about putting up some terms about them having to clean of the fretboard before working on the guitars.. but i have to run that through my boss first.
