Well the SM7b is the better sounding mic, I'm sure - but speaking strictly ergonomically, you'd rather hold an SM7 over a 58? Or is it just a matter of dealing with it for better sound?
Both, actually.
I have really big hands (can hold a basketball with one hand easily) and I like to hold the SM7b with two hands to really grasp it and put pressure on it. We used an SM57 as a prop mic for the videoshoot and it felt too tiny for me. Looked good tho
