Yeah so I came up with a little idea and built on it, and decided to record it. I'm using a Toneport and Slate drums. I blended the Dream Theater kick with the Sneap kick I found around here.

haha, long time no see eh?

Kick's sounding better now, but I still feel the drums need a bit something else... can't exactly point my finger at what is is... maybe a tad more low mids? not totally sure...

Is most of your beef with the snare? I might blend the snare with something, not sure how that'll go. Because I love the crack of the snare, it just gets a little buried and smacky in my mixes it seems.

I wouldn't say it's just the snare, no... the snare sounds cool, but I think it lacks a bit more body... the kick... well, this is personal taste, but I'd make it have both more thump and more of the clicky sound... cymbals, like I said, I thik are a bit too loud and kinda harsh in there too
