Hey Matt, I've had the album for quite a while now and I've loved it ever since I got it. Not only is the music great but the lyrics are also excellent and meaningful.
That said, the first time I heard Ichthus I knew I recognized something about 3:00 into the song... just recently did I finally realize what it was, when I dusted off my old Piece of Mind cd and listened to Revelations... at about 1:50 into that song, it clicked. "That's it!" I cried, with no one around to hear me... But anyway, if you're going to do a homage to Maiden, what better song to use than the only hymn (sort of) that they've ever recorded?
Keep making great music, and I'll be looking forward to the next album of God-honoring metal.
