According to The Pulse Of Radio, a man in Idaho was recently handcuffed, detained and interrogated at gunpoint by police simply for saying NICKELBACK's name out loud in public. Two officers in the city of Cour d'Alene overheard 23-year-old Dylan Swinford and 22-year-old Riker Morrow talking about the band, but thought they spoke the word "nickel sack," which the officers mistakenly took for a drug sale reference. Morrow recorded the entire incident and posted it on YouTube (see below), where at first it seems funny until the officers actually take Swinford out of the vehicle and handcuff him, with one of the officers pulling out his gun. The two men were eventually allowed to go on their way with no charges filed. The incident has drawn enough media attention to force the police to examine the incident, with Lieutenant Stu Miller saying, "It's being internally investigated. It's a personnel issue. We take this type of thing very seriously and we tell our people all the time to do their job as though someone is always watching, and they are always watching." Nancy Taylor, a friend to both young men, told CDA Press, "The one question I really want answered the most is, how are our young people supposed to respect law enforcement when they don't respect our young people?" NICKELBACK has not issued any comment on the matter. The band is preparing its eighth studio album for release later this year, with a first single called "Revolution" allegedly arriving sometime in August.
